The Professional steel string FE model is ready for most any musical situation and features a cutaway for access the higher frets.  The soundboard is made from select Engelmann Spruce or Canadian Cedar and the back and sides use highly figured Palo Escrito.  This fine handcrafted guitar implements a number of the Caro & Topete design features, adapted to the steel strings, and, by virtue of its design and quality of materials, has a remarkably balanced tone, with deep bass notes, warm midtones, and crisp chimelike notes in the upper register.  This fine instrument is an ideal balance between price and performance.
